Only trained and authorized personnel are allowed to enter a permit-required confined space.
| Training | All employees involved in confined space entry will be trained in their applicable duties before entering a confined space. |
| Confined Spaces | Do not enter a space that is labeled “confined space” without approval from your supervisor. Examples include pits, vaults, and manholes. Obtain a confined space permit from your supervisor before entering a permit required confined space. |
| Hazardous Conditions | Make sure the air is safe using a sniffer prior to entry and throughout the operation. Never enter a confined space unless you have confirmed that there are no hazardous conditions present. If there is a hazard observed or detected at any time while in the confined space, all entrants must exit the space immediately. |
| Entry ad Exit | A safe means of entry and exit shall be provided and be available during the occupancy of the confined space. |
