It is the philosophy of Hensel Phelps that all injuries can be prevented. We are vitally concerned about the human suffering and financial losses resulting from on-the-job accidents, both for the individual and the company. Therefore, the prevention of accidents is a major company objective, requiring the active and sincere cooperation of all employees.
It is the philosophy of Hensel Phelps that all injuries can be prevented. The effect of on-the-job accidents impacts the company, the project team, the crew and most significantly the individual. Those impacts can be considerable and lasting, therefore it is vitally important that every single employee do their part to prevent all incidents.
It is our moral obligation and core value at Hensel Phelps to send our people home safely every day. Every one of us plays an integral role in creating a positive safety culture and safe place to work.
My expectations regarding safety are as follows:
1. Integrate safety into everything you do and perform your work safely.
2. Have a plan and the proper controls in place before starting any operation.
3. Observe your surroundings to verify we have the right tools, equipment, and that we have safe working conditions.
4. Stop work when someone is performing an unsafe act, there is an unsafe condition or when conditions change, and we donโt have the proper plan in place. This is especially important when we are in a hurry or performing work of other trades.
5. Recognize and reinforce safe practices when people are performing safely.
Total accident prevention can only be accomplished through the coordinated efforts of all employees. Therefore, all Hensel Phelps personnel, as a condition of their employment, must be knowledgeable of and follow the company safety and health requirements every day.
Take action and make Hensel Phelps the safest company in our industry.
